Job Title: Registered Nurse (Level 2) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuromusculoskeletal Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Straight Nights Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: Two (2) years of experience required License: Registered Nurse License (New York only) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), NIHSS Must-Have: - Telemetry experience required - RN license (New York only) - BLS certification - NIHSS certification

Description: An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Work with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. We see many acute and complex patients in a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. As a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, we work with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nursing skills, talents, and compassion for the patient population.
