Oliver James are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing insurance business in Tampa that is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional with between 6 months and 3 years of experience who wants to accelerate their career in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. The business has ambitious expansion plans, is entering new markets, and offers direct exposure to senior leadership alongside genuine progression opportunities.

Reporting directly to an accomplished Controller with a Big 4 background, you'll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting and finance, working closely with teams across underwriting, claims, operations and technology.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

* Financial reporting and month-end accounting activities
* Journal entries, account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
* Agent commission calculations and payments
* Cash management and cash application activities
* Ownership of policy administration and payment processing workflows
* Corporate credit card and expense management
* Supporting process improvement and automation initiatives
* Cross-functional project work with exposure to executive leadership

Location: Tampa, FL


Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday in office, Monday and Friday remote


Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
