Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem - Associate, Pyxis Inventory - Mineola. In this role, the successful candidate manages the deployed inventory in clinical locations using the Pyxis Inventory Management System. Onsite responsibilities include replenishment, par level management, cycle counts, verification of expiration, and daily collaboration with unit management to load and unload supplies. Offsite responsibilities include inventory management for the Clean Room, replenishment from the bulk warehouse and handling non‑stock orders. The candidate fulfills Pyxis orders and prepares them for daily delivery to all Pyxis units 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Job Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Picks all Pyxis orders from Clean Room according to Materials Stock Request (MSR), mindful of bin location, unit of measure, quantity, and expiration date. Prepares inventory and non‑stock orders for delivery, removes corrugated cardboard as necessary, packs and labels with destination, and stages orders for hospital loading dock. Delivers supplies daily to assigned clinical units, loads Pyxis Supply Stations, verifies counts, rotates stock, and checks expiration dates for all refilled items. Completes manual inventory of Pyxis remote stock. Processes returns from all Pyxis locations. Verifies Pyxis supply Stations are in working order daily, notifying manager if repair is necessary. Performs monthly expiration checks on all items in Pyxis Stations. Replaces labels and bins in Pyxis units as necessary or when items are added or removed. Collects reusable delivery totes or carts from clinical area, hospital loading dock, and offsite locations. Maintains Clean Room Inventory, responsible for replenishment from Bulk Inventory and non‑stock orders. Verifies put‑away plan is correct and moves inventory into appropriate Clean Room bin location using FIFO method to ensure proper rotation. Operates warehouse equipment safely, including power pallet jacks, manual pump jack, delivery vehicles, and lift plates. Maintains the Clean Room in a neat and orderly manner, sweeps, empties garbage, disposes of empty cardboard boxes, and places them in the appropriate receptacle for pick‑up at shift end. Unloads and loads all incoming and outgoing Pyxis delivery trucks at the warehouse and hospital loading dock. Performs cycle counts as directed to ensure proper on‑hand inventory and participates in annual physical inventory. Drives hospital van and box truck to and from the warehouse and hospital loading dock. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Current and valid NYS driver’s license. Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years of previous warehouse, materials, or inventory experience; 1–2 years of healthcare supply chain experience; knowledge of PeopleSoft Inventory Management System and Pyxis Inventory Management System.
