QUALITY TECHNICIAN (FL)

Description

SUMMARY


The QA Technician must be skilled at identifying possible problems throughout the production process and to use their intuition to problem-solve. They must also take meticulous notes, be organized about recording process steps, and work well with others. Mechanical aptitude a plus.

Monday-Friday 7am-3:45pm, possible overtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.


• Performs routing inspection checks using established processes and procedures.

• Participates in the material review board, investigates non-conforming issues/product to determine root cause and follows established procedures for disposition.

• Supports the internal processes, provide instruction and guidance wherever needed.

• Works closely with the Quality group in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.

• Performs RMA duties as required, returns non-conforming product back to the supplier.

Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS


Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
