About the Role:

The Automotive Delivery Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of vehicles from dealerships, manufacturers, or auction sites to customers or other designated locations across the Tri-State area. This position requires a high level of responsibility, as the driver is entrusted with valuable assets that must be handled with care and professionalism. The role involves planning efficient routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch and customers throughout the delivery process. The successful candidate will contribute to customer satisfaction by providing reliable and courteous service, representing the company positively at all times. Ultimately, this role supports the broader logistics and sales operations by ensuring vehicles are delivered in excellent condition and on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience driving various types of vehicles, preferably including cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and inspecting all paperwork for accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with short-distance driving and route planning.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile communication devices.
• Previous experience in automotive delivery or logistics roles.
• Customer service experience with a focus on professionalism and communication.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle issues.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and deliver a variety of vehicles to specified locations within agreed timeframes.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any damages or issues.
• Plan and follow efficient routes while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate proactively with manager, customers, and other stakeholders regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled prior to delivery.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when necessary, ensuring no damage occurs during handling.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to vehicle handling, safety, and customer service.
