Lead Field Service Representative - Power Distribution/Electrical

About the Role Schneider’s Power Services Field Service Representatives play an impactful role within the organization. They collaborate with customers, sales representatives, team members and third‑party partners to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment in a variety of dynamic environments. The Lead Field Service Representative will provide assistance to the Services Manager in coaching, mentoring and leadership duties within the district and will take on some customer interaction leadership responsibilities as directed. Responsibilities Coach and mentor other Field Service Reps, giving technical advice, checking quality of work and diagnosing problems. Manage several customer key accounts. Carry out service or support work in line with standard procedures, working outside those boundaries as required. Provide pre and/or post‑sales technical support to customers, including commissioning, installing, testing and maintaining products, equipment and systems. Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start‑up. Research, evaluate and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that meet customer needs. Monitor and resolve recurring complex problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems during start‑up. Produce leads for Service support and train customers on equipment features. Qualifications Leadership skills necessary to mentor and support field team members. Customer engagement skills required to support the Power Services Manager in key interactions with customers. 7+ years experience as a shop or field electrical technician with a minimum two‑year degree or technical certification in an electrical‑related program preferred. Demonstrated leadership among peer group(s). Knowledge of advanced electrical industry manufacturing standards, including ANSIIEEEC37 applicable to design and manufacture of breakers and switchgear. Knowledge of basic distribution protective relay testing, hi‑pot testing and breaker function testing. Report and project summary writing skills. English proficiency to communicate with customers and team members. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and company digital tools. Compensation For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $101,600 – $152,400 per year, which includes base pay and short‑term incentive.
