Accounting Coordinator

Title: Accounting Coordinator Employment Type: Contract (3+ Months) Compensation: $20–24/hour Location: Bethesda, MD Office Schedule: Fully onsite Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401K Our client, a real estate organization, is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to support its accounting and property management teams during a busy budget season. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounting and administrative experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, scanning, and maintaining supporting documentation. Prepare and distribute correspondence, notices, and other communications to tenants. Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming tenant service requests, documenting issues and routing them to the appropriate property management personnel. Maintain organized electronic and physical records by scanning, filing, and managing accounting and operational documents. Provide administrative support to the accounting and property management teams, assisting with special projects and day-to-day operations. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely follow-up on service requests and accounting-related matters. Support budgeting initiatives and other departmental projects as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in an accounting, administrative, or office support role. Experience processing accounts payable invoices and maintaining financial documentation. Proficiency with a property management/accounting system (such as MRI, JD Edwards,Yardi, Procure-to-Pay platforms, or similar). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the commercial real estate or property management industry.
