Travel Physical Therapist (PT) 13‑week travel assignment in Hartsville, South Carolina – managed by Fusion Medical Staffing. Location Facility in Hartsville, South Carolina Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Prior physical therapy experience (new graduates welcome). Other certifications or licenses may be required. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to promote recovery and independence. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Reading, writing, and communication proficiency in English. Ability to read and follow verbal instructions, and competency in PC skills. Physical Abilities Remain stationary or move comfortably. Move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend as needed. Interpersonal Skills Work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills Fine manipulation, grasping, pushing/pulling, and assisting with procedures and department equipment. Mental Requirements Handle frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally and without assistance from other personnel. Handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration on details.
