Sanitation Technician 3rd Shift - $19.00 (2361)

Position Summary The Sanitation labor employee will ensure the facility and plant production equipment is clean to meet food safety, customer quality, and worker safety requirements. Responsibilities Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, FSI, SQF, etc.) Maintain plant cleanliness to prepare plant to pass USDA/SQF and other sanitation audits Sanitize all surfaces nightly post clean for production runs Interior infrastructure cleaning of production and non-production areas At times may also be required to clean office areas, hallways, locker rooms, and break rooms which includes cleaning/taking out trash Clean outside grounds as needed, specifically walkways into the plant Follow all Safety Guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); assist with identification and reporting of safety issues and areas and equipment requiring non-routine attention Use required chemicals as indicated in the work instructions Clean in a timely and efficient manner Clean framework of machines, overhead rafters and pipe work, deep clean in specified areas, tear down and set up equipment and complete other assigned tasks as required on master sanitation schedule (MSS) Work to prevent product contamination and adulteration, following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Food Safety Follow proper procedures to prevent equipment damage and to assure the equipment is cleaned properly May operate equipment to maintain clean floors throughout the building and production areas removing dirt, and other debris Verify effectiveness of cleaning Participating in Pre-Operation inspections of the equipment after the cleaning Attend training as required Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas Perform other duties as assigned including housekeeping and/or janitorial tasks including trash/waste removal, facility grounds keeping activities, etc. Knowledge & Experience H.S. Diploma or GED desirable but not required Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail Capable of communicating both orally and in writing with people at all organizational levels Capable of managing a variety of tasks simultaneously with rapidly changing priorities Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team Working Conditions Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less Must be able to stand for more than 10 hours per day Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and/or overtime when needed Manufacturing plant environment with frequent standing for extended periods of time; walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds unassisted; bending, crouching, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs and ladders; work area may be slippery and may have uneven surfaces, some above ground level elevated surfaces Varied temperature environment (hot/cold/humid) Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Training and Development, Vacation & PTO, Referral Bonus Program, and Tuition Reimbursement Pay rate: $19.00 per hour Use of Artificial Intelligence in Employment Decisions Statement Carl Buddig and Company does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to make any employment decisions, including recruiting, hiring, promotion, performance evaluations, discipline, or termination.
