The Youth Services Center Coordinator is seeking an assistant who is willing to assist with home visits, connect with staff and students, collaborate with community resources, assist with event planning, and other duties as assigned. Computer and communication skills are required. Job may require travel to two offices through the week. Additional attendance at after school programs may be required. Perform various clerical and program duties; assist coordinator in the implementing a variety of programs objectives and activities. Must be available to help with evening programs as needed. Assist the Youth Services Center Coordinator with reaching out to community partners and assisting with student basic needs. Will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and restocking of YSC office, food pantry, and clothing closet. Must be able to demonstrate customer support/service skills, letter writing skills, computer skills, organizational skills, time management skills, and flexibility when assisting students and families. Must be able to communicate well with students, staff and parents. Must possess computer skills in ability to learn new programs. Some evening work may be required. Social work experience preferred but not required. Position Details Hours: 4 hours per day Contract Length: 174 days per year 170 school days 4 paid holidays Contract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date Employment Status: Full-time (eligible for benefits) Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. 2026-2027 Pay Scale Starting Pay (Step 0): $16.46/hour Experienced Pay (Step 10): $20.26/hour We value experience! New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. New hires must submit the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR. Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate. Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay.
