About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in acute care settings Description: Nurses on this unit care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a variety of medical problems. The patient population includes cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, and pulmonary issues. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care and education. Patient ratio is 1:5. Nurses must have previous experience in patient care and be familiar with cardiac telemetry. You will be expected to manage and care for patients with complex medical conditions. Required skills include administering blood products, managing IVs, and performing wound care. Knowledge of non-invasive airway management and the use of telemetry is essential. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Candidates should expect to work every other Saturday with Sundays off. Weekend coverage is required. Travelers are not accepted from within a certain radius of the facility. All applicants must not have worked in a permanent capacity for the facility within the past 24 months. There is a zero-tolerance policy for THC. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted.
