Job description:

• Purpose :
  This role requires hands on technical leadership It is accountable for shaping the QE framework guiding implementation decisions and actively driving automation maturity not simply overseeing governance or producing status reports
  
  
  
  

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and own the QE framework across units API UI and data layers and define the target test pyramid for each application in the value stream
• Establish the automation baseline measure current coverage suite runtimes pass rates and flake rates before committing to targets
• Build a framework capable of a same day security fixandverify cycle fast selective execution tagged suites reliable smoke gate and CICD integration that gives a trustworthy signal in minutes rather than overnight
• Define coverage and quality metrics report on them and use them to demonstrate value before recommending any tooling change
• Set standards for test code review practices reusability naming ownership and enforce them
• Technically lead act as the escalation point for automation design decisions
  Partner with the development leads to shift testing left including raising unit test coverage as a devowned responsibility

• Produce an evidence-based recommendation on tooling migration only after the baseline is established
  
  
  
  

Must Have:

• 8 years in QAQE with at least 3 years designing and owning automation frameworks from scratch not just writing tests inside someone elses framework
• Deep hand son expertise in at least one modern automation stack MABL Playwright Selenium Java Python
• Strong API and service layer test automation including contract or integration testing
  CICD integration experience pipeline gating parallel execution containerized test runs artefact and report publishing
• Demonstrated track record of reducing flakiness can speak specifically about root causes synchronization strategy and how they measured improvement
• Test data management experience for regression at scale
• Proven ability to scale automation across multiple teams while reducing the Dev to QA ratio without compromising quality

• Prior experience running a quality maturity assessment and closing the resulting gaps
