Position Overview Banner University Medicine Tucson is actively interviewing inpatient psychiatrists focused on serious mental illnesses to join our clinical faculty team at the state‑of‑the‑art Behavioral Health Pavilion in Tucson, AZ. Our inpatient psychiatry team provides exceptional patient care through close collaboration with nursing, case management, and technicians. Clinical responsibilities include conducting court‑ordered evaluations and delivering evidence‑based treatment for patients presenting with a variety of psychiatric conditions requiring Level 1 care. We are specifically recruiting psychiatrists who are committed to didactic teaching and clinical supervision of residents and medical students within our thriving training programs at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Position Details Monday‑Friday weekday work schedule with minimal call 220 shifts per year Adult patients Average patient volume: 12 per day Engagement in training residents and medical students Minimum Requirements ABMS Board Certification in Psychiatry Strong interest in serious mental illness Desire to practice and engage with learners in an academic setting Current Arizona licensure or eligible for licensure in Arizona Location Banner Behavioral Health Pavilion, Banner University Medical Center South, 2800 E.
