Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in a behavioral health unit. The role involves managing mental health conditions, performing clinical procedures, and supporting patient recovery in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric nursing care and monitor patient behaviors and responses.
• Conduct admissions, discharges, and patient assessments in accordance with unit protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation utilizing Meditech EMR system.
• Support patient safety by adhering to policies and utilizing certifications such as BLS and CPI.
• Float between inpatient adult behavioral health units as needed to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and at least 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.
• Possess active BLS and CPI certifications.
• Demonstrate strong inpatient behavioral health skills and competence in managing mental health crises.
• Exhibit flexibility, team collaboration, and compassion for patients with diverse mental health issues.
• Must have experience with Welsh Allen VS Machines and EMR systems.
• Candidates without behavioral health experience or certifications will not be considered.
