Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN located at the healthcare providers facility. This position involves providing care for medical-surgical patients within a 47-bed department, with a focus on general medical and surgical nursing practices. The role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, maintaining competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, and utilizing electronic medical records systems.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026 and ending 01/11/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active ND or Compact RN license, BLS certification through the AHA, minimum 2 years recent medical-surgical experience in a hospital with at least 200 beds, level 2 trauma center or higher, experience with surgical oncology preferred, Epic electronic medical records experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surgical oncology patients, additional certifications or training relevant to acute care settings.
• Float: Float to other units/departments within the facility as needed.
• Additional Information: Must badge in and out at the facility, wear navy blue scrubs, and provide good interview availability. Clinicians must have worked at the organization at least six months prior or not within a 60-mile radius of the facility. Local travel rate applies to those living within 80 miles. The department operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day and 6:1 during night shifts. Orientation includes one day of lead center training plus two shifts with a preceptor.
