CT Technologist

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM EST; on-call, callback, and holidays per unit needs

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 17 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
• Two (2) years of experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Siemens scanner experience (6 months preferred)
• Epic experience (1 year preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, ensuring adherence to patient safety protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance comfort and understanding.
• Insert IVs as necessary for tests.
• Position patients appropriately, employing safe handling techniques, especially for those with limited mobility.
• Maintain accurate records by documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system, including identifying and properly sending images to the PACS system upon exam completion.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning environment.
