RN - MS/Tele

Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is within a locked incarcerated unit of the hospital. Candidates must be comfortable working with the prison population.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a Registered Nurse in the MS/Tele unit.
• Floating to other medical/surgical and telemetry units, including forensic and inpatient units, and potentially ICU as required.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Certifications required:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIH (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) accepted in lieu of CPI.
• Accepts first-time travelers and locals at the same rate.

Holiday requirements include:

All contracts beginning in September will not allow requests for time off during the following holidays:

• Thanksgiving
• Black Friday
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve
• New Year's Day

Contract nurses are expected to participate in the holiday rotation and work 3 of these 6 holidays based on their assigned holiday group. One group will cover Thanksgiving, while the other will cover Christmas. Nurses may arrange schedule swaps with their peers, when possible, to accommodate personal preferences.

All contracts starting in September should extend into the new year to ensure adequate holiday coverage.

Work schedule includes:

Night shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00).
