About the Role

The Marketing Assistant reports to the Senior Brand Manager and provides administrative, operational and creative support to the Marketing Department. You will work side by side with the Senior Brand Manager to plan, execute and optimize campaigns for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) portfolio. This is a support role: you will be the organized, dependable partner who keeps projects, agencies and deadlines moving. Internships, university projects and introductory agency or CPG experience are valued.

What You Will Do

• Analyze market research and sell-out data (such as NielsenIQ, Circana and retail panels) to spot consumer trends, competitor moves and shelf-space opportunities
• Support the setup, execution and evaluation of consumer research, including focus groups, usage surveys, taste tests and panel studies
• Maintain the monthly, quarterly and annual marketing calendars so multi-channel campaigns stay aligned with company goals
• Help evaluate campaign performance against core KPIs and outline data-driven adjustments
• Serve as the daily point of contact for creative and media agencies, keeping social calendars, paid media plans and influencer briefs on schedule
• Coordinate PR activations, monitor the brand’s LinkedIn presence, and manage logistics for brand partnerships and consumer events
• Keep the production pipeline moving for above-the-line and below-the-line communication assets
• Handle planning and administrative logistics for trade shows, category exhibitions and consumer activations
• Monitor the creation and revision workflow for packaging renovations, new product labels, print ads and point-of-sale materials
• Work with graphic design agencies to make sure designs respect brand guidelines and meet manufacturing deadlines

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, communications, business, economics or a related analytical field
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (marketing internships, university projects, or introductory agency or CPG experience all count)
• Comfort working with basic datasets and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets, formulas and charts)
• Excellent written communication and strong organizational habits
• A detail-oriented, multitasking mindset that thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced commercial environment
• Eagerness to learn the mechanics of retail distribution, shelf presence and consumer behavior
• A team-player attitude and comfort in a support role
• A strong customer service orientation and the ability to build relationships internally and externally

Hybrid schedule, 3 days in office, 2 remote. Office is in Bergen County, NJ
