Medical Assistant Opportunity

Responsibilities include rooming patients, supporting telehealth visits, preparing exam rooms, collecting laboratory specimens, operating diagnostic equipment, administering medications and vaccines, educating patients, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and performing daily point-of-care equipment testing.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a medical assistant training program, basic life support certification, experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record software, availability to work evenings until 9 p.m. and occasional Saturday morning, and reliable transportation with the ability to travel independently between sites.

Preferred qualifications include advanced training in allied health, science, medical assisting, or other healthcare-related fields, medical assistant certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute, and completion of an interpreter training course with certification by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters or the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters.
