Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

$2325.60/week - Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Surgical Tech is responsible for preparing and handling surgical instruments during cardiac procedures, following established policies to ensure seamless operations. This role involves assisting surgical teams, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring proper instrument management to support optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Prepare and standardize instrument trays according to surgeon preferences and procedural requirements. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments throughout surgeries. Handle specimens following OR policies and documentation protocols. Sterilize, decontaminate, and disinfect instruments and equipment to maintain a sterile environment. Dispose of contaminated needles, syringes, and used equipment properly at the end of procedures. Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and evaluate patient care, assisting the circulator as needed. Qualifications: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac operating room. Ability to scrub in cardiac surgeries, including CABG, MVR/AVR, and minimally invasive procedures. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or equivalent training program. Hold a Surgical Technician Certification and BLS-AHA certification. Demonstrate proficiency in handling instruments and supporting complex cardiac procedures.
