Experienced Supply Base Management SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Supply Base Management Specialist to join our B-52Radar Modernization Program team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 3:Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.Develops and participates in the implementation of supply base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategiesAnalyzes and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performance data to identify risks, issues and opportunitiesDevelops mitigation plansIdentifies and participates in supplier and business improvement activitiesProvides outcomes for potential integration into contracting strategiesPosition Responsibilities – Senior Level 4:Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectationsManages and monitors supplier quality, delivery and financial performanceLeads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programsDevelops and implements supplier base plans to support customer, program and commodity strategiesAnalyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategiesActs as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers and programsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position is for 1st shift.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):More than 6 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processesMore than 6 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and servicesMore than 6 many years of experienceworking in a multi-functional team environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 5 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contractsMore than 8 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performanceTypical Education/Experience:Experienced Level 3: Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Senior Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience.
