POSITION SUMMARY Housepersons needed! We are looking for individuals who can work independently and help out the Housekeeping Team. HOTEL LAUNDRY ATTENDANT: Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed tools or equipment used, etc.: Clean dryer filters Sweep and mop laundry area Wash, dry, and fold terry and spa linen Check chemical levels and replace as needed Follow established health and safety procedures for using laundry chemicals Responsible for laundry checklist completed daily Attend team meetings, as required Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties as assigned HOTEL LOBBY ATTENDANT: Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed tools or equipment used, etc.: Maintain cleanliness of all common and public areas of the hotel Vacuuming and dusting of guest hallways Assist with inventory of supplies in closets and in storage Clean floors: vacuum, sweep, dust, mop Wash windows, walls, tables and dust furniture, fixtures and woodwork Empty trash receptacles, pick up litter in and around buildings, and replace light bulbs Delivery of items to guest rooms; respond to guest requests Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals Turndown service Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties as assigned HOUSEPERSON: Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Maintain cleanliness of hallways by removal of soiled linens and trash Train new houseperson on multiple houseperson duties Delivery of guest request Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals Responsible for stocking of all closets and housekeeping carts Sort dirty laundry and deliver to correct area Bring trash to dumpsters Clean and vacuum assigned area, as well as complete daily projects Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements. Other duties, as assigned HOUSEKEEPER: Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Clean floors, vacuum, sweep, dust, mop, wash, strip, wax, buff, and shampoo carpets Wash windows, walls, tables, dust furniture, fixtures, and woodwork Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals Strip and make the beds Use vacuum, mop, and full bucket of water, and like equipment to clean Clean and stock bathrooms- wash tubs, shower walls, countertops, sinks, toilets, and mirrors Clean and stock kitchens- clean refrigerator, stove, countertops, microwaves, cupboards and put dishes away Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements. Other duties, as assigned ESSENTIAL DUTIES Maintain cleanliness of hallways by removal of soiled linens and trash Train new houseperson on multiple houseperson duties Delivery of requested items to guest rooms Follow established health and safety procedures for using cleaning chemicals Responsible for stocking of all closets and housekeeping carts Deliver dirty linens to appropriate places Clean and vacuum assigned area Complete daily cleaning project Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of previous work history/education required Basic knowledge and skills in a routine housekeeping work desirable Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards. Handle heavy laundry and carts utilizing proper lifting methods Facilitate workflow for Houseperson area with minimum supervision Operate carpet machine, vacuum, etc. Maintain flexible work hours Adhere to all safety policies Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with SSRC's Service Excellence standards The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits. Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.00 per hour during training & piece rate compensation after with a typical range of $21.00 - $30.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be a minimum 18 years of age Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis Push laundry carts Walk and stand for extended periods of time Must speak and understand English.
