Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensures the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and service development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Provide therapy services under signed physician orders while adhering to insurance approvals as necessary.
• Participate in the student program, offering positive learning experiences through supervision and evaluation.
• Develop and execute individualized professional development plans to enhance skills and competencies.
• Maintain licensure and complete mandated continuing education requirements in an ethical manner.
• Understand and implement organizational performance improvement initiatives to maximize service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.
• Orthopedics experience is required.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.
