Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a skilled Senior Cook to join our culinary team in our Flipt Restaurant. Responsibilities:

• Prepares and cooks a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
• Assists in monitoring products in the freezer, walk-ins, and storerooms, ensuring freshness rotation and availability.
• Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all job duties in the safest possible manner.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient preparation of all menu items during busy service hours.
• Monitors the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and performs "clean as you go"
• Complies with all departmental rules, side work assignments and departmental procedures.
• Remains up to date on all departmental policies and procedures
• Ensures thorough communication between shifts
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel or casino
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations
• Reliable self-starter with an open mind and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and working in the kitchen
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
