Join Our Caring CommunityAs a Medical Assistant, reporting to Supervisor, Central Administration, you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite, you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. You will typically work on semi-routine assignments.As a Medical Assistant, you will:Perform Clinical responsibilities include discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications and vaccines. Additional responsibilities involve performing phlebotomy, collecting specimens, and conducting diagnostic screening tests.Sterilize and cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system.Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.Deliver direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but have latitude over prioritization/timing.Follow standard procedures that allow opportunity for interpretation/deviation.Required QualificationsCertified/Registered Medical AssistantHigh school diploma or equivalentCPR CertifiedPreferred QualificationsPhlebotomy experienceMedication/vaccine administration experience2+ years MA experienceValue-based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient ExperienceBilingual proficiency in English and SpanishAdditional InformationTB Statement: This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
