As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Officer in Allentown, PA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

DayTimeSun06:00 PM - 06:30 AMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document arrivals, departures, and deliveries according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related issues.
- Communicate with employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors regarding access requirements, directions, and site rules while supporting orderly traffic flow at gates and entry points.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
