Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <40 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Hackensack Meridian Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Mechanical ventilation management, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - 3 years of experience preferred.

Required Credentials: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.

Special Requests: - Failed fit tests due to facial hair and inability to shave automatically disqualify the clinician from proceeding.

Unit Details: - Provides respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment for hospitalized patients with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system. - Includes intubation assistance, ventilator set-up and management, diagnostic evaluation, patient-specific disease education, and patient/caregiver education.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required; 1 Summer and 1 Winter holiday required. - No on-call.

7 days maximum time off

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
