Internship OpportunityRosewood Sand Hill, a luxury hotel in Menlo Park, California, is seeking an intern for the Spa & Wellness department. This position involves providing yoga, mat Pilates, or sound bath practices for participants of all levels and abilities, ensuring safe transitioning techniques and educating patrons on appropriate breathing principles.Responsibilities include maintaining departmental policies, ensuring superior standards, knowing safety and fire procedures, creating a safe environment, being flexible and cheerful, reporting punctually, maintaining personal appearance and hygiene, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations, maintaining the spa ambiance, greeting guests, providing advice and coaching, updating exercise records, maintaining knowledge of fitness and wellness, ensuring cleanliness of the movement studio, collecting dirty towels, restocking, ensuring high standards of customer experience, assisting staff, attending meetings, performing opening and closing duties, adhering to health and safety procedures, and handling cleaning materials safely.Qualifications include two years of teaching experience with high-end clientele, a high school diploma or equivalent, current yoga or mat Pilates certification, CPR/First Aid Certification preferred, attention to detail, prioritization, clear thinking, ability to work cohesively with co-workers, ability to work with minimal supervision, maintaining confidentiality, fluency in English, and the ability to endure various physical movements.Rosewood Sand Hill provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.The pay scale for this position is between $71.61 and $79.57/hour. Decisions regarding individual rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel luxury experience and/or Fine Dining Restaurant Experience.
