Lead AI Voice Full-Stack Engineer

Salary: $120,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

• Significant hands-on experience building and launching production software
• Strong full-stack expertise across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience creating AI agents, voice applications, LLM-powered systems, or workflow automation products
• Background in telephony, real-time communications, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and conversational systems
• Strong proficiency with Python and/or Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience integrating APIs, webhooks, communications tools, CRM platforms, and other third-party services
• Ability to assess AI and voice technologies by quality, latency, reliability, cost, and scalability
• Experience with cloud deployment, authentication, security, monitoring, logging, and automated testing
• Ability to quickly understand and improve an existing system
• Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize what should be built, fixed, simplified, delayed, or removed
• Ability to work independently and communicate directly with company leadership
• Availability to work from our Torrance office at least three days per week

• Take full technical ownership of our existing Overcy platform
• Review the current architecture, codebase, infrastructure, integrations, and backlog
• Preserve what is working while repairing, replacing, or improving what is not
• Build AI voice agents and automated workflows from concept through production
• Develop frontend applications, backend systems, APIs, databases, dashboards, and internal tools
• Evaluate and implement voice and telephony technologies such as Retell AI, Vapi, Twilio, ElevenLabs, OpenAI Realtime, LiveKit, Pipecat, or similar platforms
• Build inbound and outbound calling, transfers, scheduling, data extraction, notifications, escalation, and follow-up workflows
• Integrate CRM systems, communications platforms, calendars, payment tools, webhooks, and other third-party services
• Improve conversational quality, latency, reliability, interruption handling, and workflow completion
• Establish standards for testing, QA, logging, monitoring, analytics, documentation, security, and deployment
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, failed integrations, performance issues, and production problems
• Translate business ideas into practical technical plans and functioning products
• Manage technical priorities, releases, timelines, and launch readiness
• Help recruit and lead additional engineers as we grow

We are Overcy.ai, an early-stage technology company based in Torrance, California, building AI-powered voice agents and automated workflows that handle real business functions. Our platform combines AI voice, calling, texting, lead qualification, customer intake, scheduling, follow-up, integrations, and workflow automation. We already have a working technical foundation, product infrastructure, integrations, and active development in place, and we are looking for someone to take ownership of the existing platform, strengthen what has already been built, complete unfinished components, and lead continued development through launch and growth. This is a full-time hybrid role with a salary range of $120,000 to $200,000 based on experience, capability, and ownership, plus performance-based incentive opportunity and possible long-term equity consideration.
