Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Conducting a wide array of ultrasound examinations, including those focused on abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritizing patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, while clearly explaining each step
• Working in close partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure the production of high-quality diagnostic images
• Operating and maintaining imaging equipment, with prompt reporting of any malfunctions
• Documenting procedures accurately and managing patient records via the electronic health record system
• Remaining up-to-date on advancements in ultrasound technology and imaging practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
