Cardiology Technologist II

Role Overview The Cardiology Technician in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory provides technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures and basic patient care under RN supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform patient care tasks such as monitoring, assisting with procedures, preparing equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment. Support technical functions by operating monitors, imaging systems, and invasive devices. Assist in catheter and sheath removal, manage supplies, and ensure safety and infection control standards. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff, documenting procedures accurately. Uphold service excellence, demonstrate personal accountability, and participate in performance improvement activities. Provide age-appropriate care and respond to emergency situations as needed. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma required. Radiology Technologist registration or CCI credential preferred. Previous Cath Lab experience, BLS certification, and proficiency in equipment operation are essential. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform patient transfers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and radiation.
