Behavioral Health Technician
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester
Per Diem, Behavioral Health Technician, Intensive Crisis Residence St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison, New York is seeking an experienced, compassionate Behavioral Health Technician for a per diem position in our Intensive Crisis Residence. The ICR will be a licensed, voluntary, short--term residential treatment program for adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis, providing treatment and supports to help residents return to their previous level of functioning in the community. Reporting to the Nurse Manager and working in collaboration with a multidiscipline team, the Behavioral Health Technician monitors and supports ICR residents on the overnight shift, ensuring a safe environment in coordination with nursing staff.
Requirements: Computer skills, communication skills and at least one year of experience working with adults with serious mental illness is required. A High School Diploma or equivalency is preferred.
Physical Demands: Sitting and standing for long periods of time, bending, lifting may be required; mobility within the ICR is expected.
