The Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesiologist . The Anesthesiologist is accountable to the Chief of Surgery and is responsible for providing the most effective delivery of anesthesia care while meeting and exceeding compliance standards. Duties will include but are not limited to: pre-anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and regional anesthesia in collaboration with other anesthesiologists; perform thorough pre/peri/post-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia patient care plans; emergency airway management in the hospital, placement of intravenous catheters and intra-arterial lines and on-call responsibilities commensurate with other anesthesiologist in the department. The Anesthesiologist will assist with process improvement and quality assurance activities specific to the department.
