Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 5 Days Per Week | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM | 35–40 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2350.00 - $2450.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $2550.00 - $2650.00 Weekly (Stipend Provided)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine clinical laboratory testing across Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, and Microbiology departments.

• Prepare, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and automated diagnostic systems.

• Analyze specimen data and identify abnormal or critical laboratory values.

• Report critical findings to physicians and nursing units following established protocols.

• Maintain quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) standards and documentation.

• Process, prioritize, and aliquot biological specimens to ensure timely turnaround times.

• Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of laboratory results and instrumentation logs.

• Monitor laboratory inventory and supply requirements.

• Follow CAP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and facility regulatory standards.

• Adhere to infection control, laboratory safety, and biohazard handling procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist program.

• Active New York State Education Department (NYSED) Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) License with Primary Source Verification.

• Minimum 1 year of professional Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control standards.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

• BLS Certification.
