Role Description This is a full-time Senior Property Accountant role based in Monroe, NY with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both on‑site and work‑from‑home flexibility. The Senior Property Accountant will manage property‑level accounting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, recording and reconciling journal entries, and overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers, ensuring accurate financial reporting for multiple properties, monitoring cash flow and budgets, and supporting audits or compliance reviews. The role will also collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve accounting issues, provide financial insights, and support strategic decision‑making related to property performance. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to apply principles to property management and investment scenarios. Experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and conducting Financial Reporting for multiple entities or properties. Hands‑on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month‑end close procedures. Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with property management or accounting software. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification is a plus. Ability to interpret complex financial data, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
