Kennel Caregiver

Bichon and LIttle Buddies Rescue

Job Description

Cleaning and sanitizing kennels. Moving dogs from indoor kennels to outdoor runs. feeding and administering medications to dogs. Assisting with adoptions. Working with volunteers. Completing general shelter cleaning, including laundry, mopping, dishes, and other housekeeping tasks. Following established shelter procedures and maintaining a safe, organized environment.

The ideal candidate can work independently in a fast-paced environment, manage daily responsibilities effectively, and prioritize the care and well-being of the dogs. Flexibility is provided in planning your workday, but animal care and adherence to shelter procedures must remain the top priorities.

Most dogs weigh under 30 pounds. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

This work is rewarding and directly supports dogs as they transition to loving new homes.
