Heiwa Tofu is a small food manufacturer in Rockport, ME. We produce over 15,000 pounds of tofu every week with a small crew of 10-12 people. You don't need to like tofu, no what it is, or be a vegetarian to work here - you just need to come in with a good attitude and readiness to work.

Initial responsibilities involve tofu production work, daily cleanup and record keeping. This is a year-round position available immediately. The pace of work is a very steady and fairly quick paced. You are on your feet and moving all day. NO NIGHTS OR WEEKEND SHIFTS!!!

We are hiring both Level I and Level II associates.

Level I - less than 5 years manufacturing experience or less than 3 years of food processing experience. Pay range: $18 to $22

Level II - At least 5 years of manufacturing experience or at least 3 years food processing experience. Pay range: $23 to $28

Full Time (Level I and II) and Part Time (Level I) start times available between 6am and 2pm.

The right candidate must:

+be good-natured

+enjoy a busy, active workplace

+have a strong work ethic and commitment to being a team member in a growing, family-run business

+have reliable transportation to the facility in Rockport. ME

+be able to regularly lift 30-40 lbs throughout your shift.

+be able to stay on your feet most of the work day

+be comfortable performing basic arithmetic

Regular raises start after the first three months. Quarterly bonus of about $1/hr. Paid lunch breaks! Paid holidays! Year round work! Excellent work vibe!
