Associate Director

Overview
This is a critical opportunity to drive Operational Excellence across Technical Operations in a highly regulated biotech environment. Reporting to the Global Operational Excellence leader, the selected candidate will spearhead lean management deployment over a three-year plan, focusing on supply chain, quality, and technical services.
- Lead deployment of the Daily Management System across U.S. operations, ensuring strategy translates into measurable improvements.
- Partner with European Lean counterparts on complex efforts including Lean Labs, Value Stream Management, and multi-week diagnostic initiatives.
- Launch and oversee at least one high-value initiative annually, delivering quantifiable business outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, engaging both executives and front-line teams to build trust and alignment.
- Proactively step into enterprise-level opportunities and priorities, offering leadership or support where needed.
- Develop proficiencies in facilitation, Lean practices, Six Sigma, agility, and innovation to ensure long- term sustainability of OE initiatives.
- 10+ years of experience in biopharma, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
- Bachelor's degree required (any discipline).
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma and OE methodologies (Black Belt, Lean Leader, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated success implementing and sustaining management systems at the site, regional, or functional level.
- Knowledge of cGMPs and industry regulations preferred.
- Skilled change leader with the ability to shift culture and behaviors in complex organizations.
- Strong communicator and facilitator; comfortable leading workshops and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Personal traits: humble, flexible, self-starter, and able to influence both front-line staff and senior leaders.
