Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to support our growing operations. This role will manage day-to-day accounting functions, with a strong focus on QuickBooks Online and Shopify integration, ensuring accurate financial reporting, clean data flow, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Manage daily accounting activities within QuickBooks Online
Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and expense transactions
Maintain accurate general ledger and chart of accounts
Process accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)
Generate invoices and track incoming payments
Assist in monthly and year-end financial close
E-commerce & Systems Integration
Reconcile Shopify sales, fees, refunds, and payouts to QuickBooks
Ensure accurate mapping of Shopify data into financial records
Monitor and resolve discrepancies between platforms
Support reporting across multiple sales channels and programs
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
Track cost of goods sold (COGS) across multi-step manufacturing processes
Assist in margin analysis by product line, program, and customer
Support cash flow tracking and forecasting
Operational Support
Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, fulfillment)
Assist in tracking purchase orders, inventory, and incoming shipments
Maintain organized digital records and documentation
Identify process improvements for efficiency and accuracy


Qualifications
25+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Experience working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms
Solid understanding of A/P, A/R, and general accounting principles
Experience with inventory and COGS tracking preferred
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally


Preferred Experience
Experience in product-based, manufacturing, or e-commerce businesses
Familiarity with multi-channel sales and fulfillment operations
Experience with sales tax tracking and reporting tools
