Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Data Entry Clerk based in South Africa. You will keep the client's systems accurate, current and trustworthy - processing records with the speed of a machine and the judgement of a human. This is a stable, long-term role on UK business hours.

The client is a UK business that runs on its data: customer records, orders, supplier details and reports all depend on what gets entered at the source. They have seen what one careless keystroke costs, which is why they hire dedicated professionals rather than treating data entry as an afterthought.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enter, update and verify records across the client's core systems
• Cross-check entries against source documents for accuracy
• Clean and de-duplicate existing data sets on a rolling schedule
• Flag inconsistencies and missing information rather than guessing
• Meet daily volume targets without sacrificing accuracy
• Maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and business data
• Produce simple reports and exports when the team needs them

What you will be doing day-to-day:

Your day is built on focused processing blocks: working through queues of records, invoices, forms or updates with care and rhythm. You will check unusual entries against source documents, log anything that needs a second opinion, and keep your accuracy stats visible and honest.

Between queues you will run tidy-up passes on older data, help with exports for reporting, and suggest small changes that make entry faster or safer. You will finish each day knowing exactly how much you processed and how clean it was.
