Overview:

What you'll do as: Box Header Welder / Plate Fitter

• - Read and interpret blueprints
• - Plate fitting and layout
• - Material measurement and fabrication
• - Welding fundamentals
• - Problem-solving
• - Plate Test (at a minimum): 1” carbon steel plate test, welded in 2G position with square plate of bottom and beveled plate on top
• - Mig stringer and flux core fill and cap
• - Complete visual inspection, UT and X-ray

Skills and Experience:

Preferred Candidate Might:

- Previous manufacturing, construction, or welding experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
