Medical Scribe

Located In:Lake Worth, Florida 33461We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our clinical team. This position is responsible for accurately and thoroughly documenting patient visits in real-time, enabling physicians to focus on direct patient care. The ideal candidate will exemplify professionalism, adhere strictly to practice protocols, and manage workflow with a strong emphasis on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesTranscribe and document patient encounters in real-time alongside physiciansEfficiently manage an average of two patient charts per hour, and up to four during high-volume periodsSort and manage medical documents within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systemAssist with electronic prescribing and ensure prescription data accuracyDraft referral letters and facilitate communications with other providers as neededSupport patient intake processes and contribute to a positive care experienceCoordinate diagnostic tests and specialist referrals in collaboration with clinical staffAssist physicians with basic, non-invasive patient care proceduresMaintain a clean, professional, and organized working environmentParticipate in training and mentorship of newly hired Medical ScribesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferredCompletion of a Medical Assistant training program considered an assetProficiency in medical terminology and documentation practicesStrong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with EHR systems; Athena experience is a strong plusExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to work independently and under pressureAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismHere are just a few things we offer:Access to health, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings AccountEligible for PTO and Holiday payCompany paid life insurance.Access to voluntary short and long-term disability insuranceAccess to additional life insuranceAccess to Accident and Critical Illness Insurance401K with automatic employer contributionMedical Specialists of the Palm Beaches, Inc.
