Collaborate to develop new models of care emphasizing prevention, improved access, coordination of care, patient and family education, customer experience, continuity of care, and integration of care. Formulate and issue policies through the Director relating to health administration and community care. Participate in the Daily Management System, including service-level huddles, coaching subordinate huddles, facilitating Administrative Chief huddles on behalf of the Associate Director, and participating in Enterprise Huddles. Partner with and advise Healthcare Group Chiefs on clinic setup, encounter management and completion, medical documentation, scheduling, Patient Preferred List procedures, directives, and daily operational practices. Formulate and issue policies through the Medical Center Director relating to broad health administration functions. Design and implement internal and external customer service studies to evaluate results, identify opportunities and gaps, support process improvement, and track goals and objectives. Advise and provide regular reports to Executive Leadership on Business Office activities and administrative clinic management support. Design and implement studies such as gap analysis, population modeling, service demand, needs assessment, Strength/Weakness/Opportunity/Challenges analysis, make/buy analysis, and other operational studies. Use study results and data to develop short- and long-range strategic direction, annual business plans, staffing plans, space plans, equipment needs, contracting strategy, budget/spend plans, education/training plans, and tactical objectives. Oversee selection of Community Care providers and provide facility feedback on adequacy of the community provider network. Assist with review of quality metrics in the community and identify gaps or issues on behalf of the facility. Develop long- and short-term goals, policies, and organizational plans by coordinating medical administration needs of the medical center. Identify trends, accomplishments, and deficiencies related to assigned programs and propose solutions or alternate courses of action. Coordinate with medical center personnel, Resource Management personnel, and VISN staff to resolve data collection, software use, and workload validation issues. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Medical Center clinical center operations and programs in meeting established goals and objectives. Evaluate state and VISN-wide programs against short- and long-range objectives. Basic Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
