EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to, sufficient training experience to demonstrate the knowledge/abilities listed above and six (6) months of bus/truck driver experience is desirable.


Requirements / Qualifications

• Certificate Copy (California School Bus Driver Certificate)
• Certification (Medical Certificate Form MCSA-5876)
• DMV Printout (Recent K-4 (within the past 90 days))
• Driver's License Copy (Class "A" or "B" Driver's License with "P" passenger endorsement)
• Other (Proof of Registration of FMCSA Clearinghouse)

Comments and Other Information

OPEN TESTING - Open to employees of the District and the public with the selection process resulting in one (1) Eligibility List that will be used to fill current vacancies and any future vacancies that occur within one (1) year. Current permanent employees of the District will be awarded seniority points as per the contract.


All properly completed applications will be reviewed and the most appropriately qualified individuals will be invited to continue in the selection process. The process may consist of an evaluation and scoring of application materials, written testing, oral interview and/or performance test to evaluate the applicant's skill, training and experience.


The EdJoin system will time-out after a 20 minute period of perceived inactivity. Your responses to the supplemental questions are limited to 5,000 characters.


A completed on-line application is required of all applicants to be considered for this opening. SPECIAL INFORMATION: Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug test, TB test, fingerprinting and may include a physical exam. The physical and drug screen are paid for by the District. The fingerprint cost is $40.00 and is paid for by the candidate.


* Bonus paid out in two installments: one payment of $2500 paid on an employee's first paycheck and the second payment of $2500 paid during the first month, of the second year, working as a bus driver in our school district.
