Line Cook (Part-Time)

Base Pay $22.00 - $26.00 / Hour Employee Type Part-Time Hourly Description Job Purpose: The Line Cook brings passion and precision to every plate, preparing high-quality dishes that showcase Main Street Hospitality’s dedication to memorable dining experiences. With a focus on teamwork, efficiency, and attention to detail, the Line Cook supports kitchen operations to deliver consistent, inspired cuisine that delights our guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ensuring readiness for service. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Follow proper food handling practices to ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service. Monitor food stock and communicate any shortages or needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. Participate in daily prep work and assist with inventory control. Uphold Main Street Hospitality’s commitment to excellence in every dish served. Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management. Education & Experience: Previous experience as a Line Cook preferred; culinary school training a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality . Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude . Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a productive pace without sacrificing quality. Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Professional Characteristics : Passionate about culinary arts and hospitality. Reliable, punctual, and team-focused . Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Able to thrive under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen. Takes initiative and follows through on assignments with minimal supervision. Able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
