The Quality of Life and Pediatric Palliative Care Division in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine/ Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is recruiting a Clinician Educator as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant should be board certified/eligible and can develop and lead a program in pediatric palliative care. Exceptional candidates will lead, launch, and oversee a portfolio of clinical care and pedagogy in palliative care, including supportive care, life‑threatening disease, hospice, and end‑of‑life. The physician candidate for this post may have additional expertise in pediatric hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation, critical care, or another subspecialty relevant to palliative care. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
