Job Title: Business Analyst Job Description

The main function of a Business Analyst is to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formation, or other managerial functions. The role involves collecting and analyzing data, developing decision support software, and driving business process adoption to ensure the program meets operational requirements across sites and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems relating constants, variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters.
• Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary.
• Define data requirements, gather, and validate information applying judgment and statistical tests.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize business requirements.
• Translate operational and business process needs into functional requirements and coordinate delivery with vendor implementation teams.
• Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing (UAT), business process validation, and readiness activities.
• Develop training materials and facilitate end-user training to support adoption.
• Support store/site readiness activities, including communications, process alignment, and go-live preparation.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements that increase business value.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business users, vendors, and program leadership to ensure successful execution.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics, or related field required.
• 2-4 years of experience required.
• Experience in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, or data modeling.
• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, retail, and facility management.
• Systems used: ADO (Azure DevOps), ServiceChannel, Link (data collection tool), Excel, and Outlook.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, with potential travel required up to three times during the assignment. The candidate will work Monday through Friday, primarily during core hours from 8am to 5pm CST, with some flexibility to start an hour earlier or later. Equipment will be provided, and the role involves collaboration with stakeholders such as the refrigeration team, engineers, and project managers. The work environment offers opportunities for extension or permanence and serves as a gateway to other opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.96 - $41.96/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
