Job Details: Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterologist Default Rate Type: On Call (Daily) Emergency/Temp Privileges: No Shift Type: Varied Shift Details: 24-hour shifts from 7 am to 7 am Requires 7 consecutive days in a row + 3 days from 8 am to 5 pm Weekend Requirements: Yes On Call Requirements: Yes; 1:4 Job Description: Practice Setting: Outpatient hospital-based Schedule: 7-day call coverage and procedural time plus 3 additional days of procedural time. Total of 10 days per month. Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro Onsite Labs & X-Ray Outpatient Gastroenterology: Scopes performed Monday through Friday with outpatient scopes starting at 9 am to allow for on-call cases to be completed prior (7-9). This can be adjusted if needed to allow more or less time for add-ons. Outpatient Scopes: Average 7-9 per day along with inpatient rounding. Inpatient Referrals: Daily during call coverage. Average of 4-5 new consults per day while on call. Average Number of Office/Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day: 1-8 procedural scopes per day Average Number of Patients Per Day: 1-15 Average Number of Hospital-Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 1-15 Number of Physicians in Group: 1.5 and 2 APC Approximately 40-50 procedures during the 10-day period Documentation System/EMR: EPIC Job Duties/Requirements: Small Bowel Biopsy Lower GI Endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Colonoscopy GI Endoscopy with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), Diagnostic, Therapeutic, with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy) Board Certified: REQUIRED Active OH License & DEA: HIGHLY Preferred; willing to accept IMLC candidates ACLS/BLS Certified: REQUIRED ERCP: HIGHLY desired, but not required Flu Vaccination: REQUIRED, noted at the time of name clear COVID Vaccination: HIGHLY Preferred Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to advance your career and provide exceptional care to our patients!
