Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Open Heart (PICU OH) Registered Nurse (RN) at a healthcare facility in the Phoenix area. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing open heart procedures within a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to promote optimal health outcomes, adhering to evidence-based practice standards and facility regulatory standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Arizona RN license or multistate license, current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, current PALS certification from the American Heart Association, Bachelors or Associate degree in nursing, and at least 2 years of pediatric CVICU experience. Experience at a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU and floating to NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is strongly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a childrens hospital environment and NRP certification is preferred.
• Additional Information: This assignment may involve working across multiple campuses, including main, Arrowhead, Avondale, and East Valley locations. Flu vaccination is required from October through April; COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not mandatory. Candidates will need to sign declination protocols if not vaccinated and must mask during the respiratory virus season. Floating to NICU and PICU units may be necessary depending on patient needs, but float is not required for this assignment. Only RTO discussed during the interview will be pre-approved.
