Job Introduction: Provides legal counsel on privacy, product development, and regulatory compliance, enabling Tekion to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining trust and meeting global legal obligations. Acts as a strategic partner to product, engineering, and business teams in building privacy-forward, legally compliant products and services. Advises on product design and implementation to ensure compliance with global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging regulations. Partners with Product and Engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default into product development lifecycles. Reviews and negotiates privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements, including data processing and cross-border transfer clauses. Conducts privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and risk analyses for new features and initiatives. Monitors and interprets changes in privacy, AI, and digital regulation to ensure proactive compliance. Develops and maintains internal policies, guidance documents, and playbooks related to privacy and product compliance. Collaborates with Security, Compliance, and IT teams on incident response, data governance, and user rights management. Compensation The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and/or a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance.
